Description

The lido Grünau is located directly on the Dahme in Berlin-Grünau. It was already founded in 1908 and is therefore the oldest family pool in Berlin! As soon as you have crossed the main building, you see the large beach area in front of you. A large sandy beach dotted with isolated beach chairs. There comes vacation feeling on! The outdoor pool offers everything you would expect. From a restaurant to a beach volleyball court to a nudist area, there is something for everyone. In the following sections you will learn more about this.

As soon as you enter the lido, it immediately catches your eye that the bath is very well maintained. The disadvantage, however, is the relatively high entrance fee.

For families, the bath is particularly suitable due to its non-swimmer area, toilets, catering and accessibility by car or public transport.

For people with disabilities, the lido offers barrier-free access to the water.

Access and parking

It is relatively easy to get to the lido by public transport. Several S-Bahn lines go directly to the station Berlin-Grünau. From there, it is only three streetcar stops to the lido with line 68. This distance takes about 30 minutes on foot and 10 minutes by bike. It is also easy to get there by car. However, there is only a limited number of parking spaces. In addition, these are subject to a fee. Therefore, we recommend the arrival by public transport.

Restaurant

In the lido there is a restaurant/snack bar, a beach bar and a beach café available for the guests.

Nudist bathing at the lido Grünau

The lido is perfect for friends of nudist culture. There is a separate nudist meadow and a separate nudist area. Ideal to let your soul dangle.

Dogs

There is a ban on dogs in the area of the lido. However, the area around the bath is designated as an official dog walking area.

Water quality

The water quality is given by the LAGeSo with the assessment as "suitable for bathing" and is "excellent" according to the EU classification.

Boat rental

If all the hustle and bustle on the shore is too much for you, you can simply take a small boat out on the water and enjoy the sun. There is a boat rental near the bathing place. On hot summer days, however, you should be quick, because then the boats are often completely occupied.

Beach volleyball

Besides swimming and relaxing, you can also play beach volleyball on the premises. The sand court with its fixed net invites you to dig, block and smash.

Table tennis table

Chinese! Mains specification! Repeat! That's how it usually sounds from the existing ping-pong table.

Children's playground

For the little ones there is a children's playground to climb and let off steam.

Bathing jetty

On the bathing jetty you can lie down and enjoy the sun and it will help you get in and out of the water better.

Floating platform/pontoon

The anchored platform in the water is ideal for a break in between and to jump into the water.

StandUp Paddling

If you want to try the trendy sport Stand Up Paddling you can rent a SUP board and glide over the water. In stand up paddling you stand upright on the board and move with a paddle.

In the year 2021, the water quality of the bathing place Strandbad Grünau was last checked and submitted to the European Environment Agency for the current report. The current water quality of 2021 is very good suitable for bathing.

Als ich gestern am Eingang des Strandbads Grünau Kreislaufprobleme hatte ,haben mir nette leute vor mir direkt Wasser gereicht. Als diese nicht rein kamen aufgrund Ihrer Herkunft mit der Begründung das "sie Türken sind,, ist mir das Schwimmen vergangen in dieser meiner Meinung nach faschisten Einrichtung. Niemals wieder komme ich in dieses Strandbad, als nächsten retten sie keine ertrinkenden auf Grund Ihrer Herrkunft?
